George Clooney and Brad Pitt both nominated for Oscars, big surprise. I’m really sad that Drive and Shame were both snubbed for nominations.
The Descendants was a good movie, but it wasn’t enough for me. I couldn’t buy Clooney as a father. 3/5
Moneyball was a great movie, but I don’t know if I believe it’s Oscar worthy. 3.5/5
Drive. I left the movie theater thinking about the movie for weeks later. Something about the movie leaves you speechless. The cinematography, the perfect cast, the amazing soundtrack. I can’t wait to buy the blu-ray on Tuesday.

I have never felt so connected to a character before. This movie will tear you up. I loved it.

Shame.
Let’s just give Michael Fassbender all of the awards. His acting was impeccable. I spent the entire movie wishing I could somehow help the character, because he becomes so helpless to an addiction. The soundtrack made you feel the unraveling of the character. It was definitely a graphic movie, but it was brilliant. 5/5
I still need to see The Artist, plus a handful of others. Ah how I love Oscar season!
